Who Is a Candidate?
Botox for chronic migraine is intended for adults diagnosed with chronic migraine, rather than occasional headaches or episodic migraines. You may be a candidate if you:
- Experience 15 or more headache days each month
- Have at least 8 days per month that meet the criteria for migraine
- Have headaches lasting 4 hours or longer
- Have not achieved adequate relief with, or have been unable to tolerate, at least two preventive migraine medications
